Basement - before

Before image showing that the foundation had been patched and bolstered previosuly by a third party. Walls were any number of colors and patch work was left unsealed. Excessive nails and hardware in the rafters and throughout were removed or secured for a cleaner and safer basement. 

Floor and walls in desperate need of renewal. Prep work included scraping, wire brushing and extensive vacuuming to prepare for two coats of concrete sealant. Some portions of the walls had never been sealed. 

• Walls coated with White Drylock Concrete Sealant
• Floor coated with gray Drylock Concrete Sealant
• Posts painted pleasant accent color

Vintage shelving and work bench left unpainted to maintain orginal character. Sealant applied to walls and floors 100% including under washer/dryer area and hard to reach places. 

Plywood and 2x4 built in shelving unit. Legs were attached to the rafters above. Shelves were installed and leveled individually. Each leg had the bottom 4" treated with black oil based paint for longevity. Largely prefabricated in the shop and installed on site. 

Support posts and pipes sticking out of floor painted accent color.  

Basement empty and completely vacuum clean ready for a fresh start. 

Clean and dry laundry area with walls and floor sealed and renewed. Sewer pipe painted accent color.
